I shot, edited and wrote the music.

Logos always seem to be either very easy or very difficult. The problem often being clients who want a logo that “illustrates everything they do”. (Which would be an illustration, not a logo.)

I did the script, storyboards, design, animation and music.

I provided the script, designed the logo, shot and edited the spot. I composed the music in Avid Pro Tools.

I shot footage in their clinic with a Canon DSLR, including the laser-treatment sequences. Studio shot was done with an HMC-150 at 1080p. Music composed in Pro Tools.

Here are some product photos I shot on film, with absolutely no Photoshop. Getting some beautiful effects in-camera does take a lot of effort. In the case of these shots, I used multiple exposures or long shutter speeds with triggered lights, adjusting focus between exposures. You don’t get the control you have with Photoshop, but you gain something special: thinking of film and light as something to partner with – rather than dictate to – opens up a world of possibilities for more organic and random effects.

Animation was done in After Effects and Adobe Flash (Flash can be an effective animation platform for cinema output). I picked up some clinic footage I had shot for previous spots. Music was purchased for this one.

This site allows the client to post sales, events, and photos. They can instantly update their site… without writing a check to a designer.

Animation, Illustration, and some quick music composition made the broadcast deadline. I used one stock footage clip – the rest was created in-studio. Fast turn on a low budget!
